After world war I
After the devastating impacts on Germany in W.W. I, revenge had set into their country. The reparations were an outstanding amount of money. In 1919, 269 billion gold marks and 96,000 tons were fined on Germany, but later in 1929 they changed it to only to 112 billion gold marks. It was until September, 2010 that they finally made the last payment!
Due to the Treaty of Versailles, Germany also drafted a new constitution. This new democratic government had was called the Wiemar Republic. It involved a parliamentary system, with a primary head known as the chancellor. Not only did this constitution change the government but also gave a bill or rights and let women vote.
Economically wise, it was all hell. Due to the reparations, Germany had slipped into massive debt. The only action they did (which America still does today) was printing more and more money. Hyper inflation was set and middle class families who had saving accounts were nothing. To keep workers sane, the German government had still decided to pay them with the inflated money. Germany lost coal mines such as Ruhr Valley. The mark was worth absolutely nothing.
Politically wise, communist demanded radical changes to the government. The communist were mostly from Russia under Lenin's rule at the time.
America had helped them with loans and told France to get out of Ruhr Valley. With all of the different disaster's occurring , one man had stood up and gain all the attention: Adolf Hitler.

Adolf Rises TO POWER
Adolf Hitler was first born in Austria in 1889. He moved to Germany when he was 18 and he joined the German army. He served in the first World War and survived. He was extremely prejudice against Jews and his fellow Nazi party was Anti-Semitic.
Adolf had been arrested for trying to seize power of Munich, a German city. He was put in jail for treason, April 1st, 1924. In his time in jail, he wrote the book that told his idea of the Nazi party known as "Mein Kampf" translated to "
My Struggle".
In the book it described Hitler's Antisemitism, Racism, Nationalism and his obsessions. After coming out of jail, he started his rise of power. He made speeches to the newly poor, middle class appealing to bushiness leaders, veterans, workers, and Germans.
By a year, Adolf's Nazi party had came into effect into the government. In a vote between the Nazis and the Communists, Germany picked the socialist, or Nazis, instead of the communists. His Nazi party had reached over a million of people involved and supported Hitler's beliefs. This was due to the fact that Hitler would find ways to solve Germany's problems.
By 1933, Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany.
With the introduction of Hitler into Chancellor, introduced the Third Reich. This Reich introduced to the imperialistic values of the Germans. Hitler had promised to his country that Germany would soon dominate Europe, which in fact they do.
Under Germany, Hitler had appointed public works in order to get Germany out of the great depression. This was vital in order to afford things such as Camps (for the holocaust), defense mechanisms, and to modernize Germany for the war. Hitler afforded his own Gestapo, which was his own police force.
Hitler made the Nuremberg Laws, which took human rights out of Jews, this made them look like dogs. There was also the night of broken glass. The night of broken glass was a all out attack on German Jews. Huge mobs in German had attacked any Jew they could find. Austria had took the same action with their Jews as well. This was a step closer to the genocide of Jews.
A Nazi youth was created as well. This help focus young males and women into cold-blooded killers. Their ideology was simple and short, no mercy. The youth did physical activities to train for war and education was changed to support more Nazi ideas. Women factories were needed because of the men entering the war.

THE NAZI EMPIRE
In the beginning of the war, there were two sides of the War. The axis were Italy, Germany, and Japan. The allies were Britain, France, Soviets, and later the United States. The war had mainly started when Japan invaded and conquered Manchuria then five years later Italy invaded and conquered Ethiopia.
Meanwhile, Germany first invaded and conquered Rhineland, a country just east of France. The allies had let Germany have Rhineland. After Rhineland, Germany had agreed on Anschluss, which unionized Austria and Germany together. At first Austria would not agree, but when Hitler sent his army into Austria then they gave in.
Germany then went after Czechoslovakia. 3 million Germans were already in Sudetenland which made it a lot easier for him to annex Czechoslovakia into the Germany country. Britain and France still didn't do anything because they had only hoped for peace with Germany, but this just lead to more demands by Hitler.
After Czech. then came Poland. The Nazis had signed the Nazi-Soviet Pact which made the Soviet Union peaceful with Germany. They were sort of like frenemies (someone who is acting like they like you, but really they hate you). This lead to the invasion of Poland.
The invasion of Poland involved blitzkriegs, which in German means "lightning war". This led to a enormous blow on Poland and was a good showcase for what exactly German military was. The blitzkrieg involved artillery and land force with a lot of bombs dropping from the airplanes of Germany. The soviets done their part as well in Poland, in order to keep peace with Germany. After seeing this devastating blow, France and Britain finally declare war on Germany.
After France and Britain declaring war, Germany then attacks Norway and Denmark. Then after Germany goes for Belgium and the Netherlands. Then Germany crossed the Maginot line that had all French and little of the British troops set up their and Germany surprised them. This lead to the miracle of Dunkirk, which is when 300,00 British troops ride every ship in England in order to get back to England.
Soon came the fall of France. Hitler had successfully took over one of the main allies and the only one that was left in Western Europe was Britain. Britain would have asked for peace if they didn't have their amazing prime minister Winston Churchill. But, Winston had plans for revenge on Germany.
In order for Germany to obtain Britain, Hitler had assigned operation Sea-Lion. Operation Sea-Lion was nothing else but pure bombing. The bombings had approximately started in August of 1940 and lasted until the end of September. After destroying most military targets in the south, they then went for London and other big cities. The Germans then bombed most of London which destroyed their city and killed thousands of people.
Even know Operation Sea Lion seemed a success, it wasn't. The bombings had not destroyed British morale, in fact it aggravated the British. So with its failure, Germany sets eyes on its real enemy, which cost Germany a lot, they had begun to invade the Soviet Union.
To begin, there was a more powerful blitz than any of the other blitz. Germany had sent 3 million troops into the Soviet Union without the Soviet even knowing. Soviets had then begun to do the same as they did with Napoleon's empire, which was to start burning every resource they had. But this did not stop the German army. When the army had started to take action on Moscow and Leningrad, it was well into winter, which meant freezing temperatures. The German army had stopped as soon as it got to 40 degrees below.
This whole invasion led to a horrible Soviet life. Thanks to burning all the resources, food was rationed. Each Soviet was limited from two pieces of bread to absolutely nothing. Some families were forced to eat wallpaper because it was a paste that had some potato flower in it. This led Stalin urging help from Britain.
If Japan was not involved in the axis powers, it might have saved the Nazi from (SPOILER ALERT) losing World War 2. But since Japan was the first to attack on american soil, oh boy they made a mistake. After the Pearl Harbor attack, America finally stepped into the war. This meant that there was now another superiority in the war. Germany won't notice it at first, but they will feel it at the Battle of Stalingrad.

tHE END for THE nAZIS
After the attack in Pearl Harbor, the next major battle for the Allies that was against the Germans was the Battle of Stalingrad. In the Battle, it was both main powers of the war, Soviet Russia and Germany against one another. The battle had ended up being two weeks over 1 building. This led to the Germans having no ammunition, food, or anything else and having to surrender to the Soviets. The German troops were then forced out of Soviet Russia.
The next win for the allies was in 1944, a year before the end of World War 2. This special attack was made by the Ally forces. The attack was called D-Day. What happened was troops were parachuted behind enemy lines then 156,000 troops were then ferried across the English channel. At dawn, the troops had stormed the beaches of Normandy. They then made their way through German defenses and into Paris. When the Allies had rolled into Paris, resistance forces rose up and helped put the last kick into the German army. In a month, France was free.
The main point of the whole D-Day success or not was at the Battle of Bulge. During this battle both sides had lost terrible and it delayed the Nazis to regain strength and delayed the advancement of the Allies. But before the battle, the allies had bombed every resource, military base, and transportation (Railroads mostly). During this, the Soviet had advanced all the way to Berlin.
While this was happening, Hitler had started to lose hope for himself and lose hope for his army. Since forces were advancing through Germany and occupied countries, Germany started to get angry. Hitler was lucky because he had escaped one assassination attempt by a senior officer. It did not look pretty for Hitler.
It all ended for Germany at the Yalta conference. Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill decided to split Germany into four parts. 1 controlled by America, 1 by the Soviet, 1 by Britain, and 1 by the French. On April 30th, Hitler committed suicide by taking cyanide capsules. On May 7, 1945 Germany Surrendered, which led to the end of Nazi empire.
